English
In order to explore this language theory and practice students engage with a range of text and learning experiences. Students examine and construct written, spoken, narratives, news reports, biographies, paragraphs and essays. This improves the ability to use the language effectively, purposefully, critically, as well as to write, speak and think correctively. In the language lab the students work independently and in groups with the help of their spoken presentations and with audio visual supporting materials. The assessment in English Communication is predominantly spoken. The course provides opportunities to demonstrate control of language in a variety of media and contexts.
