No institution can afford to take its future for granted simply on the merits of a distinguished past. The Delhi Public School community is being challenged to consider its responsibility to both present and future students to maintain the standard of excellence–a standard which has characterized this fine school since it first opened its doors.
Delhi Public School Rohtak’s new vision for the future was a major review initiated by a specially established planning committee for holistic development. The committee, an initiative of the Advisory Council, was established to research and develop a Building Master Plan for the School Site within the philosophy and mission of the School and of the Congregation of the Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi. The Delhi Public School’s Building Master Plan represents a futuristic concept built on practical initiatives designed to propel DPS Rohtak into the 21st century. The Master Plan will inspire and respect the School’s traditional values. It will respect the School’s proud heritage and conservation needs. Above all, it will respect the DPS’ commitment to maintaining excellence in a spirit of community co-operation.
This blueprint for the future incorporates some key strategic initiatives:
• Restructuring of the senior school program to allow greater flexibility in educational, social and structural establishment.
• The new Senior Centre has access to advanced computer technology. It will allow Dipsites to continue to develop as independent and flexible learners, well equipped to move with confidence into the world of adulthood and career market dominated by a world of change.
• Introduction of a range of innovative technologically based facilities to enable the School to take advantage of the most contemporary methods, and to provide across-the-campus access to technology.
• In today’s world of information technology it is essential that students experience and become familiar with a range of technological skills.
• Introduction of a range of facilities and resources designed to maximize learning and enrichment opportunities for all students.
• DPS Rohtak believes that every student has the right to realize her potential by having access to a range of learning experiences which, through encouragement, enrich and actively promote her achievement of excellence in general and specific ability areas.
